FAQs
Q: How long will it take for me to get my sign.
A: We aim to get your sign to you as quick as possible with a max waiting time of ten working days from date of artwork approval and payment to complete the sign ready for delivery.
Q: How do I pay for my sign?
A: Payment can be made through a bank transfer or through PayPal.
Q: Can I place my order over the phone?
A: Orders can be placed over the phone but we find the best method is to email details of what you would like on the sign and we will send you artwork examples.
Q: Can I see what my sign will look like before I order?
A: We will email you artwork examples of the sign and make any changes you may require. We will not start work on the sign until we receive your final approval of artwork.

A: The smaller signs will be sent first class Royal Mail and the larger signs will be sent by courier.
Q: What if my sign is damaged during delivery?
A: Our signs are very well packed but should one be damaged during delivery we will ask if it is possible to email a picture of the damaged sign and we will replace it.
Q: How much does delivery cost?
A: Delivery is free of charge in the United Kingdom.
Q: Do you have an online designer?
A: We do not have an online designer but we do have an in house designer who will send as many artwork examples as required free of charge with no obligation.
Q: Are the letters deep engraved?
A: The letters are deep engraved and can be left natural, or we can infill with six coats of specialist monument paint in a choice of colours, with time left between each application for drying and curing.
Q: What if I wish to amend or cancel my order?
A: Orders can be amended or cancelled up until final approval of artwork after which time work will have started on the sign.
Q: Do I need to drill any holes in the sign?
A: We do all drilling and provide plugs and screws for fixing and screw caps.
Q: Do you do hidden fixings?
A: We do not do hidden fixings. We have had customers use CT1 Grip & Bond or other brand name adhesives to affix the sign.
Q: Is my sign guaranteed?
A: We give a 12 month guarantee from date of delivery but with our slate and granite being of high quality and very durable the sign will last for a great many years. Our guarantee does not cover faulty installation.
Q: Can you tell me the size of the engraved lettering on the sign?
A: We can give the size of the lettering on the artwork examples.
Q: Can I order a special sized sign?
A: We can cut down or alter stock size signs at no extra charge.
Q: I live outside the UK, can I purchase a sign?
A: There would be a charge for delivery outside of the UK.
Q: What Fixing should I go for ?
A: There are two ways of doing the screws.
When we counter-sink the slate the stainless-steel screws show the face of the screws and are flush with the face of the slate.
Or we can straight drill the holes and supply screw caps that fit over the screw head and closely match the colour of the slate.
If the holes are countersunk the screw caps don’t fit that well.
